Award-winning executive and consultant with more than 18 years of leadership in tourism, marketing, and public policy across Canada, Mexico, and Europe. I specialize in turning destinations into brands — leading strategies that connect data, creativity, and community to drive sustainable visitor growth and economic impact.
As Executive Director of Tourism New Westminster, I lead destination marketing, experience development, and strategic partnerships for one of British Columbia’s most dynamic and culturally diverse cities. I’ve directed multidisciplinary teams of more than 50 people and worked on projects with budgets exceeding $25 million CAD, overseeing strategic allocation and impact measurement.
Among my proudest achievements is The Search for Phillip campaign, where a $10,000 investment generated over $1 million in media value across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and reached audiences in Europe and Asia, showcasing the power of storytelling focused on people rather than places.
Earlier in my career, I founded GESTUR Consultancy and co-founded Rotamundos Hotels, a tourism startup recognized by UNWTO and Forbes for innovation and social impact. In Mexico, my destination development initiatives contributed to a 69% increase in visitors, positioning local communities as sustainable tourism hubs.
I currently serve on the boards of BCDMOA and Latincouver, and collaborate with Destination BC, TIABC, and other regional partners to advance British Columbia’s tourism ecosystem.
I’m a trilingual keynote speaker fluent in English and Spanish, with working proficiency in French. My work blends strategy, creativity, and collaboration to help destinations thrive through innovation and storytelling.
